Mike Torres β West Covina plumber since 2009.
I grew up in Covina. I have been in every kind of home this valley has. I'm Mike Torres, and I've been a West Covina plumber since 2009. I started my own company in 2016 to bring honest, reliable plumbing to my neighbors.

Rooted in the San Gabriel Valley
I walked the halls of Covina High School. After graduation, I didn't want to sit behind a desk. I apprenticed under a mentor who had been working in the SGV since 1985. He taught me everything about the unique plumbing quirks of our area. I know the 1955 bungalows in Baldwin Park just as well as the 1990s two-stories in Diamond Bar.
Sixty-five percent of homes in the SGV were built before 1980. That is a lot of galvanized steel that has been quietly corroding since Carter was president. My mentor showed me how to spot the signs before a pipe bursts. He also taught me about the 200-300 mg/L hard water we deal with. West Covina water is so hard it should count as a building material. Your water heater has been fighting it since day one. I've seen it destroy heaters in 6-8 years without a water softener.
π‘ My Personal Guarantee to Every SGV Homeowner
"I never push unneeded work. When I arrive at your home, I diagnose the problem, bring you over to show you the worn part directly, provide an upfront written estimate, and let you decide without any high-pressure sales." β Mike Torres, Owner & Master Plumber
My Philosophy: Honest Work, No Pressure
When I started my company in 2016, I made a rule: show the broken part, let the homeowner decide. I don't believe in high-pressure sales tactics. I'll explain what's wrong, give you the options, and let you make the best choice for your family and your budget.
I am proudly bilingual. Hablo espaΓ±ol β si prefiere comunicarse en espaΓ±ol, con gusto. For our Spanish-speaking homeowners, it's a huge relief not to need an interpreter when discussing complex repairs like a slab leak or a full repipe. Clear communication is the foundation of trust.
Clay soil plus ficus tree roots plus aging cast-iron pipes. That is West Covina drain service in three words. And with 90-120 PSI water pressure in parts of the SGV leading to PRV failures, you need someone who knows the local terrain. Expansive clay soil means shifting foundations and slab leaks. I know how to navigate these challenges.
